Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

1. Information We Collect

ZIPROF Technologies LTD collects information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and message content when you fill out a contact form, request a quote, or communicate with us. We may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited when you use our website.

2. How We Use Information & Lawful Basis

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, deliver and support our services, process payments, communicate updates about your projects or hosting accounts, and improve our website and offerings. We process personal data on one of the following lawful bases: performance of a contract with you (e.g. hosting or domain services), our legitimate interest in operating and securing our website and business (including fraud and spam prevention), your consent (e.g. analytics cookies), or compliance with a legal obligation.

3. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you Accept All, Reject All, or manage your preferences by category. Essential and Security cookies are always active because the site cannot function or be kept safe from abuse without them; Analytics cookies only run if you opt in, and you can change that choice at any time via the cookie preferences link in the footer.

Category Purpose Consent required
Essential Site navigation, form submission, security, remembering your cookie choice. No
Security Google reCAPTCHA, to protect our contact form from spam and abuse. Considered strictly necessary given the security risk of an unprotected form, so it is not optional. No
Analytics Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our site and improve it. Yes

4. Data Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third parties, such as domain registries, hosting infrastructure providers, payment processors, and Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Fonts, and Maps), solely to the extent necessary to deliver our services, and we may disclose information if required by law. Some of these providers process data outside Kenya, including in the United States and the European Union; where this happens, we rely on the provider's own safeguards and standard contractual protections for that transfer.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal or contractual obligations. Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Hosting account data follows the retention period described in our Terms of Service: accounts cancelled or unpaid are retained for 30 days before the account, its data, and backups are permanently deleted.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and (where applicable) the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing, including withdrawing cookie consent at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details on our Contacts page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) or, where applicable, your local data protection authority.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
