If someone else in your business needs to open support tickets, check invoices, or manage domains, you don't need to hand them your own login details. Your ZIPROF client area lets you add a contact and give that person a separate login with only the access they need.
Why you shouldn't share your main login
Your primary client area account controls everything: billing, services, domains, and account settings. If you share that password with a staff member, an accountant, or an IT contractor, they get full access to all of it, and you have no way to tell what they changed or when. A separate contact login avoids this and makes it easy to remove their access later, for example if they leave your company.
How to add a contact with its own login
- Log in to your ZIPROF client area.
- Open your account menu (usually under your name in the top right) and go to Contacts (sometimes labeled Manage Contacts or Sub-Accounts).
- Click Add New Contact.
- Enter the person's name, email address, and phone number.
- Tick the option that says this contact should have their own login, often shown as This Contact has a Sub-Account for logging in.
- Choose which areas they're allowed to access, such as Support Tickets, Billing/Invoices, or Domains. Leave unticked anything they don't need.
- Save the contact. The system will either let you set a password directly or send the contact an email so they can set their own.
Only grant access to the areas a person actually needs. Someone handling support doesn't need to see your billing history, and someone handling payments doesn't need to touch your domain settings.
Managing access over time
- You can edit a contact's permissions at any time from the same Contacts page, for example to add billing access once they've proven they only needed support access at first.
- Your own primary login always keeps full access and can't be restricted.
- When someone no longer works with you, go back to their contact entry and remove their sub-account login rather than just deleting the contact record, so you know the access is fully revoked.
