Most Android phones use the Gmail app to manage mail even when the account itself is not a Gmail address. You can add your domain email account to it in a few minutes using IMAP, and the process is identical whether your hosting is on cPanel or DirectAdmin, since both panels give you the same standard mail server details.
What you need first
Open your control panel and go to Email Accounts, then find the mail client configuration for your mailbox (in cPanel this is under Connect Devices; in DirectAdmin it is on the account details page). Note the incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, and ports. If you cannot find this, ZIPROF support can send you the exact values.
Adding the account in Gmail
- Open the Gmail app.
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner, then tap Add another account.
- Tap Other from the list of account types.
- Enter your full email address and tap Next.
- Choose Personal (IMAP) rather than POP3, so mail stays synced if you also check it from a computer or webmail.
- Enter your mailbox password and tap Next.
- On the incoming server screen, confirm the username is your full email address and the server is your mail hostname, usually mail.yourdomain.com, on port 993 with SSL/TLS enabled. Tap Next.
- On the outgoing server screen, enter the same mail hostname on port 465 with SSL/TLS enabled, and the same username and password. Tap Next.
- Give the account a name if prompted, then tap Next to finish.
If the app rejects the connection, the two most common causes are an incorrect password and an incoming/outgoing hostname that does not match your actual mail server. Check both before contacting support.
Using a different mail app
If you prefer another Android mail app instead of Gmail, the same server, port, and encryption settings apply. Look for a manual or IMAP setup option rather than an automatic provider detection, since your domain is not one of the well-known providers those apps recognize automatically.
