Your hosting control panel username is different from your domain name and from your email address. If you can't remember it, you don't need to reset anything first: you just need to look in a couple of places where ZIPROF recorded it when your hosting account was set up.
Where to find your username
- Search your inbox for the original welcome email ZIPROF sent when your hosting account was activated. It lists your control panel username along with the login URL and server hostname. Search for "cPanel" or "DirectAdmin" in your email to find it quickly.
- Log in to your ZIPROF Client Area and open My Services. Click the hosting package in question, then open the Service Details or Login Details tab. Your control panel username is shown there, usually next to a Login to cPanel or Login to DirectAdmin button you can click to go straight in without typing it.
- If you've saved passwords in your browser, check your browser's saved password manager for the control panel login URL. The stored entry will show the username even if the password is hidden.
- Check any FTP client or email client you've already set up. Many FTP accounts and the main hosting account share the same username pattern, which can jog your memory, though FTP sub-accounts and email accounts are separate logins with their own usernames.
What your username usually looks like
Your control panel username is not your domain name and not your email address. It's typically a short account identifier, often related to your domain but shortened or combined with numbers or letters, assigned automatically when your hosting account was created.
Don't confuse your control panel username with an individual email account's username (which is usually the full email address) or an FTP sub-account's username. These are separate logins, each with its own credentials, even though they all sit under the same hosting account.

If you've checked your welcome email and your Client Area and still can't locate your username, open a support ticket from your ZIPROF Client Area and ask for your control panel login details to be resent. For security, ZIPROF will verify your identity against the account on file before sharing or resetting anything.
