Turning on auto-renew for your hosting plan tells ZIPROF's billing system to automatically raise your renewal invoice ahead of your plan's expiry date, instead of leaving the service to lapse if nobody remembers to request one. It does not mean your MPesa account gets charged automatically. You still complete payment yourself through MPesa Paybill each cycle, using the invoice that gets generated.
For a Kenyan business running its website and email on a ZIPROF hosting plan, this small setting can be the difference between a quiet automatic reminder and an unexpected suspension notice.
How to Enable Auto-Renew
- Log in to your ZIPROF Client Area.
- Go to Services, then My Services.
- Click on the hosting plan you want to update.
- On the service details page, find the Auto Renew setting, usually shown near the billing information and next due date.
- Click Change next to it (or use the toggle, depending on how it's displayed) and select Enable Auto Renew.
- Click Save Changes.
Once enabled, ZIPROF's billing system will raise your renewal invoice automatically a set number of days before your plan's due date and email it to you, along with follow-up payment reminders as the date gets closer.
You Still Need to Pay the Invoice Yourself
Because ZIPROF's primary payment method is MPesa Paybill, and MPesa does not support automatic recurring debits the way a saved card does, auto-renew only takes care of generating the invoice and reminding you. Turning Auto-Renew Off
If you'd rather manage renewals manually, for example because you're planning to downgrade or cancel the plan, follow the same steps above and select Disable Auto Renew instead. Keep in mind that with it off, you'll need to remember to request or generate the renewal invoice yourself before the plan expires.
